He has been nominated to the World Economic Forum as a committee member for the Future of the Internet and by global luminaries for TED Talk. The Republic of Korea nominated him to represent cutting-edge research and case studies on wearables and the Internet of Things at the ITU Telecom World 2015 in Budapest. He has been featured in a variety of prestigious publications including: New York Times, TIME, Forbes, The Washington Post, WIRED, Chicago Tribune, and InformationWeek. Scott has spoken or is scheduled to speak at TEDx, World Economic Forum, International CES, Internet of Things World, IoT Asia, ITU Telecom World, Smart IoT London, Internet of Things Security, Wearable Technologies Conference and IBM Watson IoT to name just a few.
Scott is the co-author of two academic publications: The Internet of Things and Cyber-Physical Systems Handbook, and The Advances in Information Security, Privacy, & Ethics (AISPE) Book Series, scheduled for 2016.
He has over 19 years of large-scale strategy and implementation experience, managing double digit million dollar projects across multiple verticals. Scott holds a master’s in applied microeconomics/public policy from the University of Chicago and was a national Sloan Fellow at Carnegie Mellon University.
